With K-Fest celebrating its third year entertaining the people of Kilmarnock, Loudoun Musical Society are proud to be again providing the opening concert, this time with “Anthems – From Broadway & Beyond”, a show which promises to have you dancing in the aisles of The Old Laigh Kirk to songs from the musicals, classic pop songs from across the eras plus a sneak preview of their 2019 production of Footloose – and if that doesn’t want to get you up on the floor, nothing will!

LMS President, Erin Grace said “To provide the opening concert for K-Fest for the third year running is a huge privilege and our members have been working hard to bring something completely new to our audience. Like last year, entry to the concert is free and if our last two K-Fest concerts are anything to go by, we expect a huge turnout.”

With songs such as Music of the Night from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom Of The Opera, classics such as You’re the Voice and One Night Only, and maybe even a hip-swaying Tom Jones number for good measure, audiences are guaranteed a fantastic night’s entertainment with LMS hoping to top the audience of 600 who saw last year’s concert.

LMS welcomed a number of new members this year following their 2 sellout runs of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat earlier this year- several of whom are making their K-Fest debut this year.

New member Andrew Chapman said “I had seen several LMS shows in the past but it was when I saw Joseph last year that I knew I had to be part of the company and actually perform – not just watch. To be part of K-Fest this year is just the icing on the cake “

LMS perform Anthems – From Broadway and Beyond in the New Laigh Kirk, John Dickie Street, Kilmarnock, Friday 26th July starting 7.30pm. Entry is free of charge!
