Following the success of LMS Together, we were over the moon to smash our fundraising target and double it throughout our show week!
The wonders of digital-streaming allowed us to share what we love most with our audience members across the country, giving us the idea to produce a virtual show for their usual sell-out audiences and the end result is almost ready to release.
President Hugh Wallace shared: “We were very humbled by the response to our LMS Together production. Following months of planning, learning, filming and, most importantly, keeping all participants safe amidst ever-changing regulations, we were excited to share our hard work with everyone. It was certainly a new challenge for us, but LMS, as always, pulled together to create something truly special.”
Shared for free online across YouTube and Facebook, we encouraged viewers to leave a donation via our JustGiving page, allowing us to continue providing theatre in our community and supporting local charities and organisations.
We’re excited to share that, thanks to the participation of our audience members, we were able to donate to both Ayrshire Cancer Support and East Ayrshire Foodbank before Christmas 2020. Both organisations do a power of work and have been affected by the national lockdown we’re currently experiencing, so we were very happy to be able to help them continue to the good work they are known for.
