Founded 1976

Loudoun Musical Society began its all-singing, all-dancing journey over 40 years ago back in 1976. With no locally produced concerts in the area, a group of enthusiastic performers decided to take it upon themselves to give Ayrshire some razzle dazzle and so LMS was born!

The Society’s first ever musical of ‘No No Nanette’ in 1977 was a huge success, and LMS has been unstoppable ever since. From classics to modern musicals, Loudoun did (and still do!) it all, and their ever-growing popularity prompted them to move performances to Kilmarnock’s Palace Theatre, a venue they still perform at to this day.

Not only performing successful musicals, Loudoun also succeeds in extending its audience appeal through its concert party. From charity fundraisers to church guilds, LMS provides entertainment for audiences across Ayrshire and beyond.
