CONCERTS

Led by Musical Director Stephen Cowan, our LMS Concerts are the perfect opportunity for us to polish up on our vocal abilities all year round.

We rehearse and perform throughout the year in various venues – from tiny halls and community stages to Glasgow’s very own Royal Concert Hall!

Our aim is to provide first class musical entertainment whilst at the same time getting ourselves known to as many people as possible, resulting in increased audiences.

The events we have taken part in are many and varied. During our 2017/18 season we headlined the NODA Scotland Conference Midnight Cabaret. In conjunction with Kilmarnock Town Centre Partnership and East Ayrshire Council’s Vibrant Communities team, LMS kicked off the first ever K-Fest music and arts festival weekend with our ‘Soundtracks and Showstoppers’ concert.

December is always a busy month and this session was no exception. We were invited by East Ayrshire Council to take to the main stage and perform at the annual Christmas light switch on right in the middle of the town centre. We supported the local charity ‘Hansel’ at their Christmas by Candlelight event at Lochgreen House Hotel, Troon and also gave a performance at Princes Square in Glasgow to raise further funds for such a worthwhile charity. To top off our Christmas events, we thoroughly enjoyed performing with none other than Daniel O’Donnell at the SSE Hydro Arena in Glasgow.

Our past session has seen us perform for Galston Parish Church; St Columba’s Parish Church, Stewarton; St John’s Church, Kilmarnock; Kay Park Parish Church, Kilmarnock and Mauchline Parish Church.

We derive great satisfaction from seeing the enjoyment on the faces of our audiences and are thrilled to receive their heartfelt thanks for coming out to entertain them.  This is truly what music is all about.  It doesn’t hurt that we are always provided with the most delicious sandwiches, scones and cakes that you’ll ever taste!
